Bringing Affordable Skiing To South Africans And Introducing Southern Africa To All

Borovets is the oldest and largest mountain resort in Bulgaria. Surrounded by centuries old pine forests on the northern slopes of the Rila Mountains, Borovets lies at the foot of Moussala Peak (2925m) the highest point on the Balkan peninsula. Established as a hunting lodge for the Bulgarian king in the 19th century Borovets has developed into a modern Alpine resort with luxury hotels and restaurants.  With a variety of ski runs from beginner to expert, Borovets offers something for all. The resort has hosted World Cup Alpine skiing rounds and its biathlon track is considered amongst the best in the world.

For the expert skier, Borovets offers a unique experience in ‘heli-ski’, ski the virgin areas of the Rila Mountains, go by helicopter and ski the unmarked slopes. For those who have a little trouble staying upright on skis try tobogganing, bum-boarding or sleigh rides. If you want to experience the wildest most exhilarating ride of your life, ski-doo through the pine forest at breathtaking speeds. Children have not been forgotten. Borovets offers endless fun, laughter and parties while they learn to ski. The Ski Kindergarten has qualified English-speaking instructors for children 4 to 8 years.

After a hard day on the slopes, when you feel a need to slow down, have a sauna or massage, laze in the solarium while you tan or have a swim in the heated pool.

Apres-Ski. What is apres-ski you may ask?
